Finance Director

A Finance Director holds one of the most important jobs in a company as they support the senior team in all aspects of the strategy. A highly numerical and analytical position, the role of the Finance Director depends on the company structure in which they work.
The role includes overseeing budgeting, reporting and forecasting; managing accounting teams and evaluating financial systems. A Finance Director will implement areas for improvement within the financial and commercial strategies, systems and staffing.
Finance Directors have usually started in practice and then moved into a commercial operation; they have accredited professional qualification and will continually provide effective ways of working to improve the effectiveness and finance function of their organisation.
