We are recruiting for an experienced EU Payroll, Mobility & Immigration Specialist to support a leading international business on a temporary basis.

This is a hands-on role managing payroll operations across multiple European countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless payroll experience for employees and expatriates. Working closely with HR, Finance, external payroll providers, and tax advisors, you will play a key role in maintaining payroll governance across EU markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes across multiple European countries.
  • Partner with local HR teams, payroll providers and Finance stakeholders.
  • Validate and approve payroll data throughout the payroll cycle.
  • Coordinate expatriate payroll activities with mobility partners and tax advisors.
  • Oversee salary payments, taxes, social security and statutory deductions.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly payroll reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies.
  • Support payroll audits, compliance activities and process improvements.
  • Manage immigration administration for employees relocating into and out of EU markets.

About You

  • Must have experience managing payroll across multiple European countries.
  • Previous payroll experience within a retail, FMCG, customer-facing or high-volume environment (1,000+ employees preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of European payroll legislation, taxation and expatriate payroll requirements.
  • Experience working with global mobility programmes and immigration processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems such as Workday.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, accurate and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
