Your team
NEXT SOURCING Limited (NSL), the Sri Lankan liaison office of NEXT SOURCING Hong Kong, is a wholly owned subsidiary of NEXT PLC, UK, managing a $90-$100 million annual turnover. Shipping over 2.5 million garments monthly, the team, reporting to the Director, collaborates closely with the Merchandise Manager, merchandising, and technical teams. This role ensures seamless product portfolio management, overseeing processes to meet customer requirements efficiently while maintaining high service standards across all operations.
Your role
Forge a strong partnership between UK and NSL teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and clear boundaries. Drive excellence by motivating development teams to uphold top-tier service standards. Keep NSL teams and suppliers informed on trends, techniques, and innovations. Continuously introduce fresh ideas, wash projects, and printing techniques to UK teams. Prioritize fabric innovation, balancing textures and basics for every season. Align with NSL designers to push trend-forward products. Support development from design to production, ensuring the right product at the right price and lead time. Source new suppliers, optimize budgets, and strengthen global offerings, enhancing NSL’s fast fashion and competitive edge.
About you

Apart from the above you would also need
Preferably experience in Womenswear. Including but not limited to; jersey, wovens and nightwear. Able to adapt handwriting for the Next women’s customer, and understand the gaps & opportunities in the current range.
Candidates should have a keen eye for fabric development and sourcing, and be confident in introducing new fabrications to buying teams. The role also involves working closely with designers to drive product development and build ranges, while maintaining a strong attention to detail during approvals and ensuring colour standards are met.
