General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to lead our apparel manufacturing operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader with a strong background in garment manufacturing, extensive experience working with UK retail customers, and established expertise in Bangladesh sourcing and supply chain management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operation, driving operational excellence, managing customer relationships, and ensuring products are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of apparel manufacturing operations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with UK retailers and brands.
Manage sourcing, production, and supplier partnerships across Bangladesh.
Oversee critical path management from product development through to shipment.
Drive improvements in quality, efficiency, productivity, and cost control.
Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing, social responsibility, and customer standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams across production, merchandising, sourcing, quality, and logistics.
Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best commercial outcomes while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
Monitor KPIs, budgets, and operational performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with customers to deliver exceptional service and identify opportunities for business growth.

Essential Requirements
Significant senior management experience within the apparel or garment manufacturing industry.
Demonstrable experience managing relationships with UK fashion retailers and brands.
Extensive knowledge of Bangladesh apparel sourcing, manufacturing, supplier management, and factory operations.
Strong understanding of garment construction, production planning, quality assurance, and supply chain management.
Excellent commercial awareness with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead large teams and deliver operational improvements.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
